Purpose To manage and regulate the corporate/ institutional/individual volunteer/intern inflow in the organization with the purpose of creating more visibility and awareness towards the cause and partly to enhance growth in the fundraising.
Qualifications Any Graduate with experience in Volunteering coordinator role
Essential Functions
  • Developing and supporting innovative partnerships under various CSR initiatives.
  • Focusing on strategic planning to establish processes that deepen existing donor relationships, develop new ones and generate growth in fundraising.
  • Managing new and existing corporate relationships in the area of CSR giving. Developing contacts and networking with different types/ranges of companies, including small and medium size enterprises.
  • Managing and coordinating the social Internship programs at under graduate, graduate and post- graduate levels.
  • Day to day administration including preparing certificates, tracking and keeping records up-to-date (in terms of volunteers/ interns).
  • Conceptualizing new volunteering campaigns and also preparing related material and content, with the Communications team.
  • Comply with all reporting requirements including weekly reports, achievement & reports, event reports etc.

Reports to Center Manager- Mumbai & Higher Education Program Head
Purpose To supervise and manage the Higher Education programme
Qualifications Any Graduate
Roles & responsibilities of Higher Education Coordinator
  • Carrying out training needs analyses
  • Need to work closely with the mobiliser and prepare the baseline survey of disabled youth so that screening & identifying the target beneficiaries becomes easy before the start of the academic year & plan the strategy to mobilize more number of students & meet the target
  • Need to short list the applications received, fill the Samarthanam application on behalf of the student, collect all the relevant documents from the student
  • Need to counsel the disabled and underprivileged students to help them to pick the right course/college
  • Filing of students documents & preparing the case stories of each student
  • Connect with different colleges and build rapport with college faculty and principal and take maximum fee concession for Samarthanam students
  • Ensure that as far as possible, the payment of the tuition fees to be made directly to the college and submit the fees receipts of students to Accounts
  • Strengthen the current relationships with existing educational institutions and develop new partnerships with other educational institutions by making them to sign the MOU
  • To understand the problems faced by the students in colleges, Samarthanam hostels, outside hostels and to come up with solutions for the same
  • Participate actively in workshops (both internal and external)
  • Arrange scribes for students during exams
  • Participate in workshops organized by NAB, NFB, other NGOs working for disabled youth and mobilize more students
  • List the books, stationery & assistive aids requirement of students
  • Follow-up with the vendor to get the books & stationery & distribute the books, stationery & assistive aids to the students
  • Arrange for the payment to vendor by following up with Accounts
  • Maintain students data accurately, prepare and send HEP monthly report, data for CCM
  • Help the students to claim for government scholarships for disabled students
  • Regularly track the students academic performance by visiting the colleges
  • Participate in exposure visits/educational tours (both entertainment & academic learning)
  • Have a positive attitude towards students & identify the hidden talents in them and encourage the same for their holistic development
General
  • Ability to multi-task and stay on track to meet the program goals and objectives
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English & local language
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office Applications
