ದಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ವಿದ್ಯಾ ದಾನ.

ವಿದ್ಯಾದಾನ ಮಾಡಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರೇ ಆಗಬೇಕೆಂದೇನಿಲ್ಲ.ಈ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ನಿಮಗೊಂದು ಅವಕಾಶ “ಸಾವಿರ ಧ್ವನಿ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆ"

ಸಮರ್ಥನಂ ಅಂಗವಿಕಲರ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಕಳೆದ 27 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ವಿವಿಧ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಚೇತನರ ಶ್ರೇಯೋಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಶ್ರಮಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದೆ.

ಪ್ರಮುಖವಾಗಿ ಅಂಧ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ “ಆಡಿಯೋ ಬುಕ್ಸ್" ಅಂದರೆ ಶ್ರವಣ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುತ್ತ ವಿಧ್ಯಾರ್ಜನೆ ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಸಹಾಯ ಹಸ್ತ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಪೂಜೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಧ್ವನಿಗೊಂದು ಮನ್ನಣೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿದೆ.

ಇದೇ ಕನ್ನಡ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಸಮರ್ಥನಂ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಲೈಬ್ರರಿ ವಿಭಾಗವು “ಸಾವಿರ ಧ್ವನಿ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆ" ಎನ್ನುವ ನಿಲುವನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದೆ ನೀವು ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದದ್ದು ಇಷ್ಟೇ, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ಒಂದೊಂದು ಕನ್ನಡ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಧ್ವನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಓದುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಾವಿರ ಶ್ರವಣ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಅಂಧ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಜನೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾಗಿ ಕೋರುತ್ತೇವೆ.

The Digital Book Library established in 2008 is aimed at making education accessible for the persons with print-disabilities like dyslexia, visual impairment, and verbal processing difficulties. Samarthanam is an active member of the Daisy Forum India (DFI) which is involved in the production of books and reading materials in accessible formats for persons with print disabilities. The prime focus of Digital Book Library is on providing practical support to school and college students, making course material and books available in formats supported by screen reader software (JAWS). Under the guidelines of DAISY, the books are scanned, edited, typed, recorded and edited by the team at Samarthanam ensuring optimum quality of work to guarantee easy access of content in the audio mode to persons with disabilities.

Persons with print-disabilities submit their books at Samarthanam’s Daisy center which is then converted into a digital format with the aid of the volunteers. The final audio is transferred onto a CD which the students can utilize as per their convenience.

The digital library has 10000+ Audiobooks in English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, French and Portuguese languages. The digital library also has Karnataka state syllabus textbooks starting from the third grade to the 12th grade along with all kinds of degree university books, novels, magazines, short stories, Biographies, General knowledge and competitive exam preparatory books in Hindi, English, and Kannada.

There are six Digital Book Libraries established by the Samarthanam Trust for the Diasbales in more than five Indian cities.

Samarthanam library has over 10000+ books of which over 1500 are Braille Books and magazines with 5000+ Inks Books, 200000+ PDFs, and 5000+ Scanned books.
